On May 13, the Curacao Football Association (FFK) officially announced that, following the voluntary resignation of national team head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, the association’s board held a series of meetings last night and this morning and decided to appoint Dick Advocaat as the new head coach of the Curacao national team.
Currently, the Curacao FA and Advocaat are still in ongoing discussions regarding broader aspects of the appointment, with further talks on the framework of future cooperation underway.
The Curacao FA emphasized that it will strictly adhere to existing agreements and principles of good governance throughout the process to ensure stability, transparency, and continuity in the management of the national team, avoiding operational disruptions during the coaching transition.
The association also stated that more information will be announced at an appropriate time.
