The second round of CBA quarterfinal action has concluded, with two teams already punching their tickets to the semifinals. Shanghai and Shenzhen each swept their respective series 2-0, while the other two matchups are headed to decisive Game 3s.
1. Shanghai Dominates Shandong, Advances 2-0
Without question, the Shanghai–Shandong series was the least competitive of the quarterfinals. Shanghai has been unstoppable this season, posting a 38-4 record and clinching the CBA regular-season title. In contrast, Shandong finished eighth. While Shandong put up a fight in Game 1, they were overwhelmed in Game 2, falling behind early and eventually losing by 28 points. Shanghai secures their semifinal spot with a commanding 2-0 victory.

2. Shenzhen Edges Zhejiang in Two Gritty Games
The third-seeded Shenzhen faced a determined Zhejiang team that had eliminated Ningbo in the play-in round. Despite Zhejiang’s best efforts, Shenzhen’s superior depth and execution prevailed. A hard-fought 95-91 win in Game 2 gave Shenzhen a 2-0 series sweep, making them the second team to reach the semifinals.

3. Guangdong vs. Beijing: Tied 1-1, Winner-Take-All Game 3
Many expected Beijing to breeze past Guangdong, but the underdog Guangdong squad showed tremendous resilience. After dropping Game 1, they bounced back in Game 2 with an overtime thriller, winning by three points. The series is now tied 1-1, setting up a decisive Game 3 where the winner moves on and the loser goes home.
4. Guangsha vs. Shanxi: Another Series Heads to Game 3
Guangsha suffered a surprising home loss in Game 1 to Shanxi but responded emphatically in Game 2 with an 86-81 victory. The series is now deadlocked at 1-1, and both teams will battle it out in a winner-take-all Game 3 to determine who advances to the semifinals.
