Saint Petersburg club Zenit extended birthday wishes to their former striker Ivan Sergeev after he scored the decisive goal in the Mir RPL match against Krasnodar (2-1), with the post reading: “Happy birthday, Vanya!”
When asked about the congratulations, Sergeev said: “It’s nice. But I haven’t seen the post yet. The team’s congratulations—that’s what matters most. It’s great that close friends and family reached out; I haven’t checked the rest. I still haven’t picked up my phone. The most important thing is that my relatives called me in the morning.
